The primary aim of our wildlife sanctuary is to protect wildlife, habitat and promote their conservation from all human interference.
This will also prevent erosion, contamination and other types of damage that have an adverse effect on our sensitive wildlife.
Feel free to enjoy areas that remain open, such as public roads and designated parking areas.
Thank you for your understanding in protecting these natural areas for today, tomorrow and into the future!

The Boddam Wildlife Sanctuary.
The property owners have dedicated these areas for the protection of endangered and threatened wildlife. Human disturbance is a significant threat.
Migrating and wintering shorebirds roost and feed along our private foreshores at Boddam.
Many of them have travelled 1,000’s of miles to get here and some are so exhausted they don’t make land; some are only midway through their journey.
Protecting these areas provides them with much needed space while they rest, feed and breed.
“LET NO ONE WHO FOLLOWS REGRET YOU WERE HERE”
It is illegal to disturb certain species intentionally and recklessly by trespassing, playing songs and calls to lure or scare birds from cover as they often move from their habitat, waste time and energy as well as being exposed to predators.
Wildlife have right of way. Don’t put them at risk.
All wildlife, plants, seaweed etc. are protected and may not be removed from this sanctuary.
